On November 25, 2023, a significant partnership was established between ACIC IIT ISM Foundation and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Bokaro, through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This collaboration marks ACIC IIT ISM Foundation as the official partner of SAIL Bokaro, entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing its corporate social responsibility (CSR) endeavors.

Under the terms of the MOA, the dedicated team at ACIC will undertake the task of providing training to underprivileged women residing in the vicinity of SAIL Bokaro. The training program will initially focus on the handloom sector, encompassing skills related to Jute, Bamboo, and Lac crafts. Commencing in the first week of December 2023, the training sessions aim to empower and develop the capabilities of 60 women.

The MOA was formally signed by Prof Saumya Singh, Director of ACIC, and Prof DMS from IIT ISM Dhanbad, along with Chaudhary Ratnesh Kumar Sudhanshu, the CSR head of SAIL Bokaro. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the dedicated team from ACIC IIT ISM Foundation and the CSR department of SAIL Bokaro, (ED, Shri Rajan Prasad, CGM HRD, Shri Manish Jalota, CGM TA, Shri Kundan Kumar) emphasizing the collective commitment towards this initiative.
 

The MOA not only marks the beginning of a fruitful partnership but also paves the way for anticipated support and a shared vision of growth. With this collaboration, both entities aim to embark on a journey of mutual learning and progress, leveraging their respective strengths and expertise to make a lasting impact on the lives of underprivileged women.
